What Are The "Seven Areas of Life" ?
Physical
Do the people you minister to honor God with their bodies? The Physical area of life teaches people that their bodies belong to God. They will experience freedom from bondage as they learn how to
stay within God’s boundaries. They will learn that what they think affects their bodies and will be given practical steps to change the direction of the choices they are making with their bodies.
Financial
Do the people you minister to follow God’s principles for their finances? The Financial area of life teaches that there are only four things you can do with your money: earn, give, spend and
invest. People learn how to experience financial freedom by learning how to do these four things God’s way.
Marital
Do the couples you minister to experience intimacy spiritually, psychologically and physically? The Marital area of life teaches people that intimacy in marriage is more than just sex. God wants
them to experience spiritual, psychological, and physical intimacy. Couples will grow closer as they become more devoted to God, learn good communication skills and apply the steps to restoring intimacy when conflict has caused a
separation.
Parental
Do the parents you minister to follow God’s example of acceptance and accountability? The Parental Area of life teaches parents their parenting style and how it is positively or negatively
impacting their children. They learn how to raise their children to mature adults through a proper balance of acceptance and accountability. They will be given practical ways to instill in a child internal values of motivation and
integrity and external values of love and respect.
Spiritual
Do the people you minister to have a rich relationship with God that impacts every area of their lives? The Spiritual area of life teaches people the true source of their everyday stress, frustration,
anger, depression and other negative emotions. They will gain victory as they live in the reality of their new identity in Christ. They will learn that walking after the Spirit is a choice to allow their beliefs and behaviors to be
influenced by God rather than the world. They will discover just how much they want to follow God as they embrace God’s unconditional acceptance.
Psychological
Do the people you minister to honor God with their feelings, choices and thought life? The Psychological area of life teaches people how to deal with the challenges of life God’s way instead
of the world’s way. They will experience feelings of confidence, completeness and forgiveness instead of insecurity, inadequacy and guilt as they learn to listen to what God says about them. They will learn how to make decisions
motivated by trusting, thanking and seeking God rather than fear, pride and selfishness. They will replace the bad fruit in their lives with good fruit as they uncover lies and renew their minds with the truth.
Social
Do the people you minister to show acceptance, love and forgiveness to others? The Social area of life teaches people how to deal with impossible people. As they embrace God’s love for them,
they will be able to respond with acceptance to the people who reject them or aren’t doing things right. They will experience freedom as they forgive offenses and apply practical tools for healing their broken relationships
and strengthening their good ones. |
Victorious Christian Living International was established in 1979 and is a non-denominational biblical discipleship ministry. Their ministry is three fold:
- They develop life-changing materials.
- They have drawn from a rich experience of nearly 30 years of discipling people to create dynamic discipleship tools. We train people how to disciple using these materials. We train church and ministry
leaders to train and teach others how to disciple.
- They disciple people using these materials. Our regional offices disciple people in conferences, seminars and one-on-one settings.
Their Heart
Victorious Christian Living International serves the church worldwide with a simple method and life-changing tools for equipping people to be disciples and to make disciples. We want to see people become fully devoted followers of
Christ who live victoriously in every area of their lives and teach others to do the same.
Their Method
Our discipleship method is a simple and reproducible cycle of hearing, applying and sharing God’s plan for every area of life.
- People hear God’s plan for them in every area of their lives. “Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you…” Matthew 28:19-20 (NLT)
- People apply God’s plan to their everyday lives, taking action on what has been heard. “Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting
the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear!” James 1:22 (MSG)
- People share what they have heard and applied with someone else. “And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach
others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2 (NKJ)
When people hear, apply, and share the truth, their lives are changed!
Seven Areas of Life Training®
Seven Areas of Life Training® (SALT) is a discipleship series designed to teach people God’s plan in seven areas of life: spiritual, psychological, social, physical, financial, marital and parental. Through life-changing
materials, training, seminars and conferences, SALT uses simple diagrams to illustrate Biblical truths.
God’s plan for people encompasses every area of their lives. People may be committed to honoring God by coming to church on Sunday, but do they know how to honor God in their relationships,
with their bodies, with their money and with their thought lives throughout the rest of the week?
What is your plan for helping people honor God in
every area of their lives?
SALT teaches people how to apply foundational truths to their everyday lives, and equips them to share those truths with others. SALT is biblical, life-changing and easy to use.
