Pastor's Ministry Focus and Plan for
Coleta United Brethren in Christ church.

The Vision is:

Isaiah 61:1-4 MSG The Spirit of GOD, the Master, is on me because GOD anointed me. He sent me to preach good news to the afflicted, He has sent me to bind up the heartbroken, Announce freedom to all captives, pardon all prisoners. 2 GOD sent me to announce the year of his grace-- a celebration of God's destruction of our enemies-- and to comfort all who mourn, 3 To care for the needs of all who mourn in Zion, give them bouquets of roses instead of ashes, Messages of joy instead of news of doom, a praising heart instead of a spirit of fainting. Rename them "Oaks of Righteousness" planted by GOD to display his glory. 4 They will rebuild the old ruins; raise a new city out of the wreckage. They will start over on the ruined cities, take the rubble left behind and make it new, the desolations of many generations.

1. This is a work of God's Holy Spirit.
2. The preaching will be of good news, focused on solutions.
3. The people called to us will be heartbroken, captives, prisoners & the afflicted.
   The purpose is to care for the needs of all who mourn, explaining to them the exchanged life principles of Jesus Christ.
4. Worship will be in song, messages of joy and expressions of a praising heart.
5. The "Oaks of Righteousness" are the transformed lives that have been planted by GOD with us that will display His glory.
6. They, "The Oaks of Righteousness" will rebuild and raise up a new city.

The Mission from Jesus is: to develop Bible based, Holy Spirit dependent people, through Christ centered good news preaching, personal worship, fellowship with each other, and discipleship.

Mathew 28:18-20 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Our Strategy is: to recruit and train key people with God given gifts to do teaching, worship and discipleship.

Ephesians 4:11-13 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.
